Officers hired as a lateral transfer as that term is defined in the Board of Police Commissioners Rules and Regulations and 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-14 shall be placed in the wage schedule as set forth below:
- Two years experience start at $85,514
- Three years experience start at $90,169
- Four years experience start at $94,294
- Five or more years experience start at $98,679
Current maximum salary: $116,967 after nine years of service (including transfer credit)
Eligible for step increases yearly on anniversary date until attain top scale
Future annual wage increases of 3.25% on January 1st of both 2026 and 2027 Department

Tattoos permitted except for face, neck, and hands; beards allowed
