Description

This OM Technician I (HR Technician I) will serve as the primary initiator of OM action requests in the Classification & Compensation and Pay administration section. This role is responsible for initiating, monitoring/tracking, revising, and completing OM action requests from beginning to end of the workflow process. Position will further provide office support to the Classification/Compensation Section through file maintenance, reporting, serving as one of the Agency users of PeopleAdmin for review & entry of agency position descriptions, maintaining supply inventory, and serving as backup of the OM/PA Technician II.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Initiating OM action requests in the Integrated HR/Payroll system
  • Generate multiple position, employee, and organization data reports, identify discrepancies, and work on correction as applicable
  • Maintain and document position data
  • File maintenance by ensuring every action is filed appropriately
  • Access NeoGov for applications, assist with completion of salary forms and run reports for Employee Salary Analysis
  • Update position description in PeopleAdmin
  • May support the team with special projects as requested

This position is eligible for a flexible/hybrid telework schedule under the State of NC Telework Program.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

Note: To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:

  • Experience initiating OM and/or PA actions in IHRS such as SAP GUI
  • Experience executing and analyzing HR data from reporting tools as BOBJ and SAP GUI
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work assignments order to multi-task and meet deadlines and performance standards
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to operate in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability exercising judgment and discretion in the application and interpretation of personnel policies and procedures

Associate's degree, typically in Human Resources from an appropriately accredited institution or relevant field and no years of experience required
