- Starting: $69,047.50 - $79,951.01 based on years of service with previous agency
Full Range for Police Officers: up to $101,845.52

Position Details
Applicants must meet the following:
- Must be a certified police officer with the State of Illinois through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and have served in good standing in another law enforcement agency for at least 2 years currently or recently (within the last 6 months) employed as a full-time sworn law enforcement officer and duly certffied by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
- Must have successfully passed a Law Enforcement agency's probationary period for full-time sworn law enforcement officer.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character, temperate habits, sound health, and must be physically able to perform the essential job functions of the position of police officer
SELECTION PROCESS:
Each phase of the process is pass/fail and required to proceed to next.

- Post-offer examinations, including but not limited:
- Polygraph
- Physical examination and drug screen
- Psychological assessment
- All appointments are subject to a required probationary period
