This employee will be responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the Styx Receiving Compound.

Job Duties Include:
  • Inspecting and accepting DNR property and equipment and completing transfer of items.
  • Identifying surplus equipment that can be reissued.
  • Ensuring new equipment is undamaged and matches purchase order issued.
  • Overseeing the Law Enforcement (LE) Division ordering and tracking all LE equipment including, but not limited to: vehicles, boats, motors, ATVs, and other items as directed by the Captain.
  • Creating purchase requests for LE equipment and tracking all equipment once a purchase order has been issued.
  • Overseeing the overall security of the Styx Receiving Compound and reporting any necessary repairs to supervisor.
  • Serving as liaison with the State Surplus property staff for the sale of DNR equipment.
  • Maintaining all equipment assigned to the Styx Receiving Compound and Styx Motor Pool.
  • Ensuring the grounds and facilities are kept in a neat and professional condition.
  • Completing additional duties that assist operations of the Styx Compound and purchase requisitions as assigned by the Captain and Lieutenant.
A high school diploma and relevant work experience in supply services or business services. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.Knowledge of supply and agency policies, practices and procedures. Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures. Knowledge of SCEIS as it relates to inventory control. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with DNR employees and commercial vendors. Ability to train subordinate employees and establish a positive working environment. Basic automotive/marine skills. Ability to operate equipment such as tractor, fork lift etc. Basic computer skills and well versed in language and writing.
