The Hennepin County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to work at both the Adult Correctional Facility (ACF) and the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) Nutrition Services. In this position you will ensure all sanitation and safety standards are followed and all appropriate records are kept in compliance with annual health and safety inspections. You will complete inventory usage records and purchasing forms and; supervise food preparation and special diets. The JDC and ACF operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Location and hours: This position is located at both the Adult Correctional Facility at 1145 Shenandoah Lane, Plymouth, MN 55447 and the Juvenile Detention Center at 510 Park Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415. You will split your schedule between these two locations (three days at one and two days at the other location). Days worked are typically Monday through Friday, hours may vary depending on the facilities' needs, but primarily the shift would be from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. About the position type: This is a full-time, benefit earning position. Under facility licensing requirements, positions at the Juvenile Detention Center are required to undergo a Department of Human Services Background Study (MS 245C.13). Convictions for certain crimes will have an effect on your ability to be hired according to the disqualification schedule listed in Minnesota Statute 245C.15. Individuals convicted for any level of Criminal Sexual Conduct are disqualified from being hired into any position within the DOCCR under the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). Other past involvement with the criminal court system will not automatically disqualify you from working at the DOCCR; individual circumstances are reviewed and evaluated confidentially.
