Description Responsible for providing counseling, basic care and behavioral management for youth placed in County youth care facilities by a referring agency.
  • Conducts youth intake interviews and continues to regularly document youth behaviors and emotional status;
  • Provides basic care and supervision to youth;
  • Monitors and assesses the behavioral and emotional characteristics of referred youth and provides counseling or additional supervision to prevent self-harm as needed;
  • Regularly communicates orally and in writing any changes to youth to all members of the youth care facility.
Education/Training/Experience:
  • Graduation from a college or university of recognized standing with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or closely related field; or
  • Associate's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or closely related field; and
  • Two (2) years' experience working with and counseling youth in crisis; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling four (4) years.
Certifications:
  • Valid Montana driver's license,
  • CPR certification (within 6 months).
Salary23.87 - 23.87 Hour
