Corrections and Custody Officer 3 - Reentry position #NF90, NF91
Reentry Division

Spokane, WA

The Department of Corrections (DOC) has 2 permanent, full time CO3 (Sergeant) openings available within the Reentry Division. Positions #NF90 and #NF91 are located at Brownstone Reentry Center in Spokane, WA. The hours of work for these positions are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday (#NF90) and 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday (#NF91). Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule. For questions, please contact the Human Resources Office.

In accordance with Article 4.7 of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) 2023-25 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), this job opening is available to internal transfer candidates ONLY. Employees who meet the following criteria may apply:
  • You are requesting a transfer under Article 4.7 of the WFSE CBA.
  • You are a permanent DOC employee.
  • You currently hold permanent status in the class being recruited for in this job posting.
  • You are currently in a position represented by WFSE.

Note, per the CBA:

  • If you have accepted a transfer under Article 4.7 you are not eligible to request another transfer under this Article for 24 months.
