  • $74,183.09 (For two years of current eligible service)
  • $81,599.80 (For four years of current eligible service)
  • $95,352.41 (For five years of current eligible service)

  Current Top Out: $117,295.58

Position Details

Requirements:

• Be certified by the Illinois Law enforcement Training Standards Board, or be certified by another state where training and experience would qualify to become certified.
• Part-time Officers who are able to complete an 80 transition course are also eligible to apply
• Have minimum of two (2) consecutive years of full-time experience with the same agency and been employed within the last four (4) years as a sworn officer.
• Be a US citizen
• Be at least 23 years old
• Be under age 43 to apply
• Be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalent
• Possess a valid drivers license
• Residency Requirements - Must reside within 30 miles of the Village of Riverdale boundaries (Illinois only), within one (1) year of the time of appointment.

Must comply and successfully complete:

• Character background investigation
• Psychological
• Medical examination, etc.
