Description Performs a variety of general clerical/office support functions to facilitate and streamline the processes of the Marion County Sheriff Foreclosure Sale of residential, commercial, and underdeveloped properties. Greet and serve the public and or internal employees at front desk. Answer, return, and forward telephone and voicemails calls related to mortgage foreclosures, legal documents, costs, judgements, deeds, titles, sale notices, requisites, and registration processes. Oversee and confirm dates, times, documents, bidder credentials, and costs in preparation of the oral auction. Receive and prepare praeciped lists from the Clerk’s Office. Organize and assign file numbers to sale notices. Prepare notices for service by publication, certified mail, or sheriff service in a timely manner. Data entry into state-wide court database such as Odyssey, Microsoft applications, and other internal department applications on a large scale. Provide notices of sale to Indiana Business Journal (IBJ) for sale advertisements, receive, and distribute costs accordingly. Receive and process checks and or electronic payments. Accept, verify, and present figures from bid packages and opening bids. Collect and deliver sales disclosure forms to the Clerk. Administer sold lists to the general public. Distribute, verify, organize, and file bidder preregistration/ registration forms for the sheriff sale. Conduct the Sheriff sale orally while keeping track of bids and removals. Enforces Indiana Code Law 10-74 for bidder pre-requisites and registrations requirements. Perform basic mathematical figuring of property judgement totals, fees, and due balances. Utilize systems for record keeping of payable funds, transactions, bidder payouts, refunds, and sale numbers. Communicates with buyers/sellers, attorneys, local and nonlocal entities. Operate general office equipment, computer, laptop, copier, fax, and scanner. Performs other related duties of a comparable level/type as required.
  • Responsible for intercepting calls related to the Sheriff Sale Auction.
  • Professionally, consistently, and accurately relay messages and detailed information. Precise in data entry and calculating balances.
