LATERAL TRANSFER POLICE OFFICER

We currently have immediate openings.

The Rochelle Police Department is seeking experienced/certified police officers to join our team as we look to establish a Lateral Transfer Police Officer Eligibility List.

All applicants must already be Certified as an Illinois Law Enforcement Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• State of Illinois Law Enforcement Certification from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as a law enforcement officer in good standing (part-time certification as a law enforcement officer does not meet this requirement)
• Applicants shall be employed for a minimum of two consecutive years with their current agency as a full-time Sworn Municipal Officer, Illinois State Trooper or County Sheriff's Deputy AND they must have completed their probationary period
• Currently in good standing with the police department in which the person serves or is laid-off due to budgetary restraints with that agency
• Possess the knowledge, skills, abilities and level of experience required pursuant to the call for qualified lateral transfer applicants
• Must be a United States Citizen
• Have a Valid Driver's License
• Must pass:
• oral interview
• in-depth background investigation, which includes:
• polygraph
• psychological exam
• drug screen
