  • Starting: $70,685.85

    Top Out After 8 Years: $105,090.26

Requirements Include:

  • Be at least 21 at time of appointment (no upper age limit restriction)
  • Must pass the written test with 65% or better
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid Driver's License
  • Pass background investigation, polygraph, and psych test
  • Be a citizen of the United States for at least one year
  • Eyesight correctable to 20/20, be free of color blindness
  • Must possess a valid FOID card by the time hired
  • Be a resident of Illinois living within 75 miles of the Kane county seat, Geneva, IL
  • No felony convictions
