The hours of this position are 6:45am to 2:45pm with Saturday/Sunday and Holiday's off.
The Anamosa State Penitentiary is looking for an Electronic Engineer Technician to add to their maintenance team.
This position will maintain electronic systems for our institution.
You will maintain the staff telephone and voicemail systems, two-way radio and pager systems, computer systems, Incarcerated Individual telephone system Incarcerated individual television system, security gates and locks, and the security cameras.
This position completes maintenance, preventative maintenance as well as new upgrades and changes for the institution.
Throughout each of these systems there are various tasks involved.

Completion of two years of formal training in electronic engineering technology, and three years of technical experience in electronic engineering work;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years (thirty semesters of equivalent hours equals one year).

Within a period of time as determined by the appointing authority, certain employees in this class may be required to obtain a Fire Sprinkler Installer and Maintenance License in accordance with Chapter 100D, Iowa Code.
