Reporting directly to an assigned Commander, responsible for coordinating all logistical and equipment needs for Correction Officers, Law Enforcement, and personnel staff within the Williamson County Jail.
- Oversees the compliance and performance of the logistics/supply unit
- Assists with equipment acquisition and distribution of inventory for Correction Officers, Sheriff Deputies, and personnel staff essential for daily operations
- Prepares and tracks budgetary items; compiles reports for executive staff on inventory cost
- Manages and maintains various databases associated with assigned uniforms, body armor, and field supplies that are distributed to employees
- Maintains all records and paperwork associated with equipment checkout
- Analyses and audits invoices from vendors and processes for payment
- Schedules appointments with department personnel for equipment pick up or equipment returns
- Develops and maintains operational routines and procedures for equipment, including organizing, storing, and arranging inventory for daily use
- Resolves and responds to complex concerns from staff associated to logistical issues
- Orders, purchases, receives, and unpacks all materials, supplies, and equipment essential for Sheriff’s Office operations
- Inspects and conducts quality control of all uniforms, supplies and equipment
- Prepares and coordinates surplus inventory for auction
- Reviews, tracks, and verifies all financial purchases of inventory
- Assists in annual budget process by collaborating with department leadership on equipment needs, maintenance and other departmental cost for budget development
- Performs purchasing coordination for the department, to include generating purchase requisitions, processing invoices, management of relationships with suppliers, County A/P and Purchasing departments
- Attends all meetings and trainings, as required

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of inventory control experience including procurement, financial tracking and record keeping experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required within thirty (30) days of employment
- Valid Texas driver’s license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Vocational or Technical Degree
- Prior experience working in a law enforcement capacity
- Prior supply chain experience
- Knowledge of records management and inventory tracking software
