To qualify for lateral entry, the following qualifications must be met:

• Currently must be a certified Police Officer
• Must meet minimum continuous service and education requirements:
  • 2 years of continuous service as a police officer and a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college; or
  • 3 years of continuous service as a police officer and an associate's degree from an accredited program.
• Vision 20-40 both eyes corrected/uncorrected
• No tattoos visible below the wrists and above the neckline
