Under general supervision, exercises responsibility and performs oversight of the daily operation of a State Juvenile Correctional Facility's Laundry and Housekeeping. Responsible for operations of the area of assignment. Primary area of assignment will be laundry which will include ensuring resident's clothing and bedding is cleaned in a timely manner by operating regular and large-capacity washing machines, tumble dryers, and related laundry equipment. Ensure the issuance of all clothing and linen to the resident population. Secondary area of assignment will be custodial which will include ensuring that the housekeeping and sanitation plan guidelines are being followed to ensure a clean and safe environment for all facility work.
Ensures that West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation policies are adhered to in regards to the functional area assigned. Duties assigned in functional areas may require the use of a wide range of tools, equipment, and chemicals. Will be responsible for the acquisition and inventory control of all materials, supplies and equipment necessary for the assigned areas of operations. Performs related work as required.Vacancy: 1

Training: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a lead worker capacity.Substitution: Coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of experience.
