Description *Aiken/Bamberg/Orangeburg. Office Location TBD.

Under the direct supervision of the Agent in Charge, the Duty Agent, is responsible for the service of warrants for offenders who are arrested and placed in a detention center, for all documentation related to the service of warrants and removal from NCIC, and for general office operations duty coverage as assigned.

A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses and experience in probation and parole work. An associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted. Three years of work experience in law enforcement, C-1 Certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with 23-23-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976. Applicant who have a break in service of more than one year but less than three years and qualify for special recertifications according to SCCJA Regulation 37-006 (D) (3) will be considered.A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses; an associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted. Experience in probation and parole work or 3 years of work experience in law enforcement.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with 23-23-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976.
