Description Come work with us! The Wayzata Police Department is hiring a Police Cadet in partnership with the Intensive Comprehensive Peace Officer Education and Training (ICPOET) Program. We are looking for candidates who enjoy a small-town feel with big-city opportunities!

The Wayzata Police Department has been awarded a grant through the State of Minnesota to provide education and training to those who are interested in and who qualify to become a Licensed Peace Officer. The Intensive Comprehensive Police Officer Education and Training (ICPOET) Program is for individuals who have already obtained a 2 or 4-year degree from a regionally accredited college or university* and are looking to transition into a law enforcement career. No law enforcement training or experience is required. This position earns $25.00 per hour, plus benefits. The Police Cadet will be paid to attend school at Hennepin Technical College.
