NOW HIRING – PART TIME POLICE OFFICER

The City of Prospect Heights is looking to fill a part-time police officer position.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ESTABLISHED BY THE CITY OF PROSPECT HEIGHTS:

• US Citizen
• Valid Driver’s License
• Not less than 21 years of age at time of employment
• Vision Correctable to 20/20 in both eyes
• Able to read/write the English language
• Pass medical exam including drug screening
• Possesses substantially equivalent skills and abilities as a City of Prospect Heights Police Officer who has completed the probationary period, as determined by the City
• Taken and passed such examinations as the Commission deems necessary to determine fitness for duty as a Police Officer
• Completed an in state full time Basic Law Enforcement Training Course or attended an out of state Basic Law Enforcement Training Course and receive a waiver from the ILETSB.
• Be a certified police officer in good standing, having been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board under Section 8.1 of the Illinois Police Training Act (50 ILCS 705/8.1), and Currently working as, a full-time police officer in good standings for an Illinois law enforcement agency; or
• Has left his/her agency in good standing.
