The information below outlines the anticipated processes for selecting the next Chief of Police. Applications for the Chief of Police position shall include your resume, a cover letter and written responses to the enclosed questionnaire. A select few of the applicants may be invited to attend an interview with the hiring panel and will be considered semi-finalists. Following the panel interviews, finalists for the position will be announced and will be invited to attend a community open house including elected officials, community members, and staff.
The following is the anticipated schedule:
September 23, 2024, 3pm Resume, cover letter, and initial questionnaire due
October 7-11, 2024 Panel interview with selected semi-finalist applicants
October 22, 2024, 6pm Community open house to meet selected finalists
November 25, 2024 Start date for new Chief of Police
