Assistant to the Agent-in-Charge, directs, manages and coordinates the activities of a major multi-functional section of a large county office; manages human resources within the section; participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of office operating procedures and special county programs for offenders under the Department's supervision; participates in the implementation of Field Operation evaluation plans at the county level; maintains a professional communication network inside and outside the Department; participates in training county staff; promotes public relations within the county.
A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, education, counseling or other social/behavior sciences or a bachelor's degree which includes at least 15 credit hours in the aforementioned disciplines and completion of four (4) years’ experience in criminal justice, counseling, or related professional human service work. Supervisory experience is preferred. A regular volunteer and participant in deployments and other special operational events.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with 23-23-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976.
