Perform a variety of law enforcement functions including patrol, investigation, responding to emergency situations, civil process, court and courthouse security and detention of prisoners.
Ability to communicate orally with the public, other public safety personnel, health care providers, court officials, attorneys, and other county employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma and two years post-secondary law enforcement training or an equivalent combination of training and experience. LICENSE: Must be Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Board licensed. CONTINUING EDUCATION: Must attend required safety, security and additional trainings/conferences throughout the state as required.
Basic computer skills to include word processing, understanding of web based programs such as records management systems (RMS), computer aided dispatching (CAD), email client programs. A basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel preferred. The ability to utilize and understand several secure State and Federal websites is also required.
