Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school AND one (1) year of full-time experience working with and caring for juveniles, preferably with at risk juveniles OR college level course work in Criminal Justice, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Education or related behavioral science. Professional level experience and/or education that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum Age: Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at time of appointment.
Working Conditions: Work evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts. Work in violent, traumatic or highly charged emotional environments. Specified positions may be assigned to a remote work site at high elevation. May be subject to exposure to blood and air borne diseases.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted. Must not have any qualifying offense that violates the standards required by NRS 62B.223 and/or NRS 62G.223.
Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note, Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorships or transfers for any employment positions.
Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
