Alvord ISD Police Department is seeking a highly motivated TCOLE licensed Peace Officer to join our team.  Alvord ISD Police is a small department serving the Alvord Independent School District (2A) in the northern part of Wise County.  We enjoy the perks of a small family oriented agency and community, while getting the full support of our district administrators and board.  Officers enjoy a highly competitive compensation/benefits package to include the following:

Minimum Qualification:

• TCOLE Licensed Peace Officer
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass backgrounds check, physical, psych eval,and drug tests
• Bondable as required under TEC 37.081(h)

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of LE Experience
• Experience as a SRO/School Based Law Enforcement Officer
• TCOLE Certified SBLE Certification
• Above average weapons proficiency
