Starting: $88,802 - $121,916 The employer will determine at its discretion the placement of the lateral officer on the pay scale/step system at the level commensurate with their past work experience not to exceed their prior experience as a police officer.
Pay increases are annually based on the completion of probation.

Bargaining Unit: Fraternal Order of Police (FOP): full time, sworn employees in the rank of Police Officer.
Benefits:
- 12 Hour shifts from 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am with every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off
- 1 Kelly Day off every six weeks

- Holidays/Personal Time: Sworn Police Officers are eligible to receive 60 hours of paid holiday time and 36 paid hours of personal time per calendar year.
- Vacation: Vacation is accrued based on date of hire for available use following the respective anniversary date based on the following general schedule and applicable collective bargaining agreement:
- One (1) to completion of fourth year - 80 hours
- Five (5) to completion of Ninth (9th) year - 120 hours
- Ten (10) years and Up - 160 hours
- Sick Leave: Sick time is earned at the rate of 3.69 hours every two-week pay period.
- Compensatory time off
- Pension/Social Security/Deferred Compensation: Incoming sworn probationary officers shall be provided relevant information regarding the police pension system, social security, and deferred compensation options.
- Tuition Assistance Program: Full-time employees are eligible to seek assistance from the Village for continuing education costs. Tuition assistance will be based on standing Department/Village/Labor agreements.
