Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Be at least 21 years of age by the time of appointment
- Be under age 35 by the final eligibility list date unless exempt under Illinois law
- Meet all Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board requirements

Applications must be completed and submitted by the deadline.
Applicants must include copies of:
- Birth Certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- DD-214 (if applicable for military preference points)
Testing Process
Saturday, July 25, 2026
Testing includes:
- Written Examination
- Illinois POWER Test
- Oral Interview (for successful candidates)
Failure to complete any portion of the testing process will result in removal from consideration.
Additional Selection Process
Successful candidates may be required to complete:
- Background Investigation
- Polygraph Examination
- Psychological Evaluation
- Medical Examination
- Drug Screening
