The Williston Police Department is accepting entry-level and lateral patrol officer applications. Successful entry-level applicants will attend the 12-week Law Enforcement Academy to become licensed peace officers in North Dakota. Entry level applicants are required to pass a physical agility test. Applicants with less than two years of licensed law enforcement experience are required to pass a written exam.
Salary- Entry Level: Police Recruit: $55,692 annually, $26.78/hour (Salary during police academy)
Police Officer: $65,520 annually, $31.50/hour (Salary upon completion of police academy and becoming ND POST licensed)
Entry level recruit Officers are eligible for a $2,500 recruitment bonus.
Salary- Lateral Range:-$65,520 annually, $31.50/ hour- $85,489 annually, $41.10/ hour.
- Prior licensed law enforcement experience is credited at the discretion of the department.
- Lateral Officers are eligible for a $5,000 recruitment bonus.
