Under the general direction of the Westcom Assistant Chief – Logistics, this professional, technical, analytical, and customer-oriented position is responsible for the overall management, configuration, and administration of Westcom’s mission-critical public safety applications. The PSAA serves as the primary point of contact for dispatch operations and partner agency personnel, providing expert support and proactive maintenance of Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, Records Management Systems (RMS), Call Processing Equipment (CPE), alerting applications, analytical reporting platforms, and Microsoft 365. Coordinates across six partner agency cities to maintain and enhance operational efficiency; acts as the liaison between end users, Information Technology departments, and external vendors; and works with a high degree of initiative and independence to implement program changes, resolve issues, and continuously improve system performance in support of 24/7 emergency communications operations.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in applicable technology and/or Public Safety field preferred
Three (3) years of experience with querying and reporting applications
Two (2) years of Public Safety applications experience
A Civil Service Examination will be administered for this position. All applicants meeting the minimum qualifications, submitting all required application materials and receiving a passing score on the written questionnaire will be invited to participate in the remainder of the Civil Service process, which will include the Predictive Index Survey and the oral board (interview) exam.
Oral board interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of July 6, 2026. All dates are tentative and subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
