The Town of Fryeburg is seeking motivated, community-minded individuals to join our team as Full-Time Police Officers.
The Fryeburg Police Department is a progressive, service-driven agency serving approximately 3,600 year-round residents. In the summer months, our population expands to over 48,000, making Fryeburg the second busiest gateway into the State of Maine. This unique environment offers a dynamic and rewarding policing experience.
Our department is comprised of 12 personnel:

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma required; college preferred

At least 21 years of age

Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record

Certified applicants: Must possess MCJA Pre-Service Phase I & II
Hiring Process
Applicants must successfully complete:
Starting pay is commensurate with experience, and a competitive benefits package is offered. Experienced officers may be considered for lateral entry up to 5 years at the Town’s discretion.
All new full-time employees must reside within 45 minutes of Fryeburg within six months of hire.
